Job Summary:
The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), one of the world’s leading research institutions on international development, is seeking to fill an internship position in its Communications Division for Spring 2010. The internship offers a unique opportunity to help expand coverage of IFPRI projects and research in newsletters of international donor agencies.

Under the guidance of the head of media relations, the intern will:
- research newsletters published by international donor agencies;
- identify article submission opportunities to highlight IFPRI research;
- assist with writing and editing articles for submission;
- conduct web searches on news outlets and journalists;
- update media database;
- other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Student seeking a graduate degree in International Affairs, International Development, Journalism, Communications, or related field. The ideal candidate must be an excellent writer; highly-organized, able to work without significant supervision, and self-motivated. Undergraduate students with exceptional writing skills may apply. Preferred qualification: fluency in a foreign language.

Full-time and part-time hours (flexible) are available. Unpaid. Internship can be counted towards academic credit.
